Sangha Service Fellowship

Six fellowship categories, each a skilled, defined contribution to the Lab. Every fellow is also a full participant: this list is written to drop into the application alongside the participant application itself. Participants can apply for and may be eligible to hold multiple roles.

Fellowship roles

  1. 1Embodied Practice Instruction

    $1300 tuition reduction

Teaching movement and somatic practices woven into the program arc, not a drop-in offering.

    • Teach a defined number of sessions per week (contact improvisation, yoga, authentic movement, ecstatic/conscious dance, somatic practices)
    • Offer sessions with enough regularity that participants can count on and deepen into them
    • Coordinate scheduling with program leadership
  2. 2Development, Communications & Feedback

    $1000 tuition reduction

Supporting the program's organizational sustainability and its capacity to learn and iterate; extends into the post-program period.

    • Collect and synthesize participant feedback for leadership
    • Collect and organize testimonials for donor communications, grant reports, and website
    • Support alumni coordination and outreach

  3. 3Accessibility Coordination

    $1300 tuition reduction

Holding explicit responsibility for whether the program is accessible, and serving as point of contact for accommodation needs.

    • Proactive outreach before the program to understand participants' access needs
    • Coordinate with leadership to respond to access requests
    • Stay attentive to emerging access needs during the program
    • Debrief and document at close

  1. 4Peer Support / Accountability, Support & Care (ASC)

    $1300 tuition reduction

Coordinating and animating a peer-support culture, augmenting (not replacing) mental health staff.

    • Coordinate peer listening structures and informal check-in rhythms
    • Cultivate a community culture of mutual support and care
    • Coordinate emergent community-care responses when something hard happens
    • Maintain a defined, clear communication channel with mental health staff
    • Hold explicit boundaries around what the role is and isn't responsible for (no clinical/crisis response, no confidential reporting)

    $780 tuition reduction

Threshold-holder for visiting teachers, ensuring each one arrives cared for and at home.

    • Coordinate transportation to and from pickup points
    • Prepare and turn over rooms as teachers come and go
    • Welcome and orient teachers on arrival (kitchen, systems, schedule, community agreements)
    • Serve as point of contact for logistical needs during the teacher's stay
    • Coordinate with leadership around teacher schedules and transitions
  3. 6Technology Systems Coordinator

    $780 tuition reduction

Participant-held coordination of the community's technology agreements, shifting accountability from staff-enforced compliance to community self-governance.

    • Hold the shared program device (logistics calls, ride coordination, teacher communication)
    • Serve as point of contact for technology requests from participants and staff
    • Maintain and communicate the community's technology agreements
    • Support accountability to those agreements in a community-held way
